The Pokémon Marathon was TheSpeedGamers' 15th Marathon and 11th for a charity. As with Pokémon Marathon (December 2008), the goal was to catch all 493 Pokémon. This goal was succeeded with a short amount of time left.

Community Members, the1stpkmnfan, Yuso, KeyPaladin, and the well known Youtube LPer, Chuggaaconroy, all made attendance in this marathon. Along with Malcolm, who was last present at the last Pokémon marathon, appeared on Sunday.
When the donations reached a specific total, Britt played a teaser trailer for all of the upcoming marathons next year, in 2010.
